Circularly Polarized Patch Antennas Combining Different Shaped Linealy Polarized Elements

Graduate School of Engineering, Chiba University, Chibashi, 263–8522 Japan 広帯域な円偏波特性をもつアンテナとしては,軸 モードのヘリカルアンテナ [2] や,直交する 2点から 90◦ 位相差で給電するパッチアンテナ [3] が報告され ている.一般に衛星通信移動局用アンテナでは,前述 の広帯域特性をもつアンテナをアレー化して利用して いる.ゆえに,10%程度の周波数帯域幅をもつ円偏波 の素子アンテナが必要となる.これまでに,このよう な衛星通信システムに適用可能な円偏波アレーアンテ ナの構成法について,いくつかの報告がなされている. 報告例を大別すると,広帯域な円偏波特性をもつ素子 アンテナで必要な帯域幅を確保する方法 [4]~[6] とア レーアンテナの構成を工夫して必要な帯域幅を確保す る方法がある [7]~[9]. 例えば広帯域なヘリカルアンテナを素子アンテナと したアレーアンテナ [4], [5]では,いくつか検討がなさ れている.しかし,アンテナ高が 0.5λ 程度と高くな るため,小形のアレーアンテナには適当ではない. また,文献 [6] では広帯域な位相特性をもつ 90◦ ハ イブリッドを用いた 2点給電円偏波パッチアンテナを 素子アンテナとしたアレーアンテナについて述べてい る.比帯域が 8%にわたり 2 dB以下の軸比特性をもつ アレーアンテナを実現している.しかしながら,90◦ ハイブリットの回路損により,アンテナの効率が低下 し,衛星通信における通信品質の指標となるG/Tの劣 化も引き起こしている.更にアレー化する際は,パッ
